Hello Beckton.

As promised, here is a break down of street crimes in Beckton between 8-14th January. 

Phone Snatches - There have been three phones taken out of unsuspecting hands this week. One on Tollgate Road, One in Clapps Gate Lane (this phone was recovered) and one other snatch on a bus. 

Robbery - There was one at Cyprus Station where by a group of 12 youths surrounded another (smaller) group of youths and demanded phones and money. The other Robbery was an attempted near Kingsford School. Our officers were close by and nothing was actually stolen. 

Theft From Vehicles - There has been two. A wallet was stolen from a car in in Stonewall. And tools were stolen from a van in outside the premiere Inn. 

We had a theft of a parcel outside a residence in Newark Knok 

And yesterday there was a Burglary in Linton Gardens. Jewellery was stolen. Residential burglaries are pretty rare in Beckton but still, keep an eye on your neighbours and don't be afraid to be nosey if you hear loud bangs or unusual noises from next door.

The team have arrested a number of wanted offenders this week and we have been out patrolling in both uniform and plain clothes.
